Marine and Coastal
Sisters Bay Seawalls Drummoyne
Client: City of Canada Bay CouncilThe Sisters Bay Seawall project involved the construction of new foreshore protection works to stabilise the failing shoreline and protect critical public infrastructure. CivX Marine delivered rock revetments, toe protection systems, and embankment regrading to address widespread erosion and structural instability.
The works were undertaken in a complex tidal environment, requiring careful staging, marine-based construction methods, and strict environmental controls. Construction activities included geofabric installation, placement of engineered rock armour, and reconstruction of degraded seawall sections. The project successfully improved coastal resilience while maintaining public access and enhancing the durability of foreshore assets.
Dawn Fraser Baths Balmain
Client: Leichhardt CouncilThis project involved the construction and restoration of foreshore protection assets at the heritage-listed Dawn Fraser Baths to stabilise the shoreline and protect critical pool infrastructure. CivX Marine delivered groyne reconstruction works, seawall repairs, and structural upgrades within a constrained tidal and public environment. The works required careful staging and sequencing to manage tidal windows, maintain public safety, and preserve the heritage character of the site.
Key construction activities included the removal and replacement of the existing groyne deck with a self-draining segmented concrete slab system, improving durability and drainage performance. The original sandstone seawall was carefully restored using in-situ repair techniques and material matching to retain the heritage fabric. Construction methodologies were developed to optimise constructability within limited access conditions while minimising environmental impact.
Chiswick Seawall Armitage SeawallBlackwall Point Seawall
Client: City of Canada Bay CouncilThis project involved the construction and renewal of multiple seawall assets across Armitage Reserve and Blackwall Point, replacing deteriorated structures with robust, long-term coastal protection solutions. CivX Marine delivered in-situ concrete works, sandstone revetment reconstruction, and toe stabilisation in a live marine environment.
The construction methodology was carefully developed to manage tidal constraints, minimise environmental impacts, and maintain shoreline stability throughout the works. Key activities included structural repairs, rock placement, concrete facing, and integration of new public access pathways along the foreshore. The completed works provide enhanced protection against erosion and sea level rise while improving constructability and long-term asset performance.
Blues Point Harbour Seawall Restoration
Client: North Sydney CouncilThis project involved structural and visual upgrades to the northern end of the Blues Point seawall. The works improved the strength, safety, and appearance of the existing harbour foreshore structure.
Horse and Goat Paddock Seawall Remediation
Client: Sydney Harbour Federation TrustDelivered as part of a broader public open space upgrade, this project included seawall rehabilitation, contaminated material removal, capping, landscaping, amphitheatre works, car park improvements, and road realignment. The works addressed safety, environmental, and aesthetic concerns along the foreshore.
Pearl Bay, Parriwi Point and Spit East
Client: Mosman CouncilThis multi-site project involved seawall restoration, augmentation, and ecological engineering across three foreshore locations. Works included rock toe protection, sandstone block seawall construction, semi-aquatic planting, improved access, new steps, footpath upgrades, and foreshore beautification.
Lookes Avenue Seawall
Client: Leichhardt Council
The deteriorated seawall at Lookes Avenue required major restoration to improve both stability and appearance. Several courses of the wall were removed and replaced, with patching works completed to enhance the wall’s overall finish.

Civil Infrastructure
Parramatta Road Annangrove
Client: Leichhardt CouncilThis streetscape project involved raising the level of the existing trachyte kerb, demolishing the existing footpath, and reinstating the area with banded asphalt paving. The works improved access, durability, and the presentation of the public domain.
