Seawall Design and Construction

CivX Marine designs and builds seawalls for councils and public landowners across Sydney and NSW. We take projects from survey and approvals through detailed design to construction, delivering resilient foreshore protection in tidal, heritage and public environments.

Our Approach

We specialise in design and construct (D&C) delivery, so one team is accountable from first survey to handover.
Foreshore works happen in live marine environments, often beside heritage structures, across sensitive key fish habitats, and busy public spaces. We plan construction around tidal windows, to ensuer that the most efficient work methods are used whilsts protecting sensitive marine environments. CIVX Marine matches heritage materials, protects water quality and keeps foreshores accessible and safe throughout the works.
We work across Sydney Harbour, Parramatta River, Georges River, Middle Harbour and coastal NSW, from our Sydney office in Silverwater and our Northern NSW office in Kingscliff.

Seawalls We Build:

Rock armour revetments and toe protection
Sandstone block seawalls, including heritage restoration
    In-situ and precast concrete seawalls
    Composite and modular seawall systems
Emergent and submerged coastal protection structures
Ecological enhancements, including naturalisation and aquatic vegetation

Our D&C Process:

Survey and modelling: land and bathymetric survey, with digital terrain models of the foreshore
Planning and approvals: feasibility, statutory approvals and environmental requirements
Design: concept options through to issued-for-construction drawings, specifications and methodology
Cost planning: preliminary and detailed estimates to support budgets and procurement
Construction: tidal staging, marine-based methods and strict environmental controls
Handover: progressive as-built data and documentation
